The Phone
Ring ring ring...banana...er...the phone. Not an annoying fruit based song, but a rather strange and creepy variety of point'n'click game (I'm not sure that's totally the right category for this one, but you'll get the idea). Try and enjoy this high brow immersive flash thing courtesy of aooa, even if I have got that song going round your head now [ta chockie].

How odd. For some reason I thought you had posted this one before. Whatever the case.....I like it and am glad to see it again!

I did see it some time ago but I never got round to posting or playing it - double checks - nope I didn't. Fortunately Chockie sent me a helpful e-mail reminder. That bloody banana song is stuck in my head though.

i love this one for its aesthetics and strangeness -- right up there with Samorost and Treasure Box (no need to double check, you have them both posted).

I'm stuck in the second place too... found the buildings and the lovely god like hand, but apart from that I can't budge. Subtle hint anyone? Mind you I'm getting a bit frustrated, so a not-so-subtle hint might also do...

hopefully subtle hint for the second place:
hold god's hand

the third place is "feelable"?
im past the city - i got hte feel there... and am at the next one.
all i get is a completely black page that says "dial zero for help" at the bottom, but doesnt even have a hang-up at the top. i can find anything!!!! ach... maybe i need a less subtle hint...

Mine kept doing that, too. Just refresh the page so it starts at the beginning, but start off with the last number you dialed.

I can't get it to load. The screen is just white with a big black retangle in the middle. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Half the fun of this one is playing with the piano. The music geek in me is amused that F and G actually line up. I'm tempted to figure out a few pop songs on it and post the keystrokes here.

did anyone else find this extremely- now i mean EXTREMELY- easy, or was that just me? maybe its coz i just took my midterms these past few days, so im feeling especially smart (hah!) or maybe its just cos ive been to it before....but i dont' remember it being particularly challenging the first time....

Comment 37, Saturday, January 22nd 2005 02:05:00 AM

Meme

:
i don't think it's supposed to be hard -- it's like Treasure Box, enjoy the journey rather than the challenge. (though it took me awhile to figure out the Hand of God thing.)
as opposed to, say, Amoadv, where the journey itself isn't that interesting (just walking around the house), but finding the clues and figuring out how to use them are incredibly interesting and challenging -- the problem-solving is the fun part. (so DON'T use a walkthrough -- if you're smart you can figure everything out by yourself. though i had to use the Tab key to find some of the hidden objects.)
and then there's Samorost and WalkInCircles, which are beautiful AND challenging (one much more so than the other!)
