Hunting vigorously through the lazylaces archives for "musical friday" unearthed the following results...

Rabbit RoomRabbit Room offers you a great twofer bar-gain for a Friday, not only allowing you to pander to your escape the room game addiction, but also allowing you to dabble in your second favorite hobby of rabbit counting. What, you thought we didn't know you like to enumerate bunnies in you spare time? [subbed by charlie].

Aside: This Musical Friday we're mixing up the uber coolness of The Xx with the jauntiness of Eric Hutchinson. And yes I do know I forgot last week. That is all.

January
January is not so much of a game, as a web toy, in fact that might even be stretching it a bit far. It's a super chilled out walk in the snow, with every snowflake that lands in your face playing a note for your aural delight... dude [subbed by Jay Manning].

Working Day Escape
If nothing else, especially on a Friday, you have to agree with the sentiment behind a Working Day Escape [via nicosite].

ASIDE: By the way this Musical Friday we're listening to The Cave whilst playing this stone-age game (see what I did there? Cave? Stone-age? Geddit? It's been a long week is all I can say...) after remembering how much we liked Mumford & Son during the Grammys.

Take A Walk
I missed Musical Friday yesterday, although there is some new stuff on the Musical Friday YouTube channel this week, but if you need some more tunes Take A Walk will provide you with some serene music and gameplay to keep you occupied on a sunny Saturday afternoon [subbed by Think~Pink].

Du Zhong Tea Room Escape
More tea vicar, more tea vicar, more Du Zhong Tea Room Escape vicar? Does anybody know just how many different types of tea there are in the universe, as I suspect we're going to have a game for each and every one of them in this series and it's already getting decidedly 'old'... [subbed by Cyberjar88].

Musical Friday Footnote: This week on the ever elusive Musical Friday footnote, as we wait for the Amazon delivery peep to pop our "Panpipe Classics" long player (because mp3 really doesn't do 'the pipes' justice) in the mailbox, we're soulfully pondering "Be Set Free", organizing an impromptu hoedown with "Little Lion Man" (watch the language on that one), and dancing all around the office - well doing comedy jazz hands at least - with our "Cousins". On the other hand we are most certainly not even thinking about listening to "California Gurls", in fact we don't even know who gave us that url; *shame* on them, whoever they were...

Easy Joe
Easy Joe is a simple point'n'click game in which you aide the travels of a little green rabbit, level by level, across your computer screen. Cuteness abounds, you get a warm fluffy feeling inside, and world peace soon follows... [subbed by SmashMan140].

Musical Friday Footnote: Lots of people, well one, have recently been asking me "whatever happened to Musical Friday?". So, just for them, I'd encourage them, and anyone else at a loose end, to digitally spin a little West Coast (divinely sweet), a dash of Oxford Comma (ditto, but beware of the f-bomb), and/or Jamrock (crank it up, and re-imagine the missing bits) whilst they franticly keep refreshing the page as they wait for the next minoto game to arrive.... which is what is happening at lazylaces towers, at least until it's time to go out for dinner...

More musical Friday soon!.... well, probably this time next week, to be more accurate....

Monkey Room Escape
The animal themed escape rooms finally reach Monkey Room Escape meaning I get to revisit one of my favourite songs for any day of the week, but especially for a Musical Friday... *ahem*...

Look at the monkey, funny monkey
Little red monkey, acting so fidgety

Look at the monkey, funny monkey
Little red monkey, cute as can be

Where is his mama, papa, sister,
brother, cousin, rest-of-the-family?
Little red monkey, on his own,
some very lonesome monkey is he

Ahhhh.... now I feel better, time to enjoy the weekend. Have a good one everybody [subbed by Mystery].

NOTE: If you get a 'temporarily unavailable' message on the game link leave it a minute, and then try refreshing the page - this worked for me after getting the unavailable message a couple of times.

Darth Thriller
Don't you just hate it when you are way busier than you thought you were going to be, especially when it's Friday? The subtext being that I don't have much time here, but is that going to stop me posting Darth Thriller for Musical Friday? No way... [via op-pop].

Common Trek People
It take a special kind of sick individual to post William Shatner's cover of Pulp's "Common People" on "Musical Friday" under the category "cool". Fortunately for you lucky peeps I am that kind of special individual. Enjoy [via op-pop].
